GHS Senior softball players Sadie Sholtis and Ava Parish have committed to further their academic and athletic careers. Both student-athletes have committed to play softball at John A. Logan College. Congrats to both student-athletes!

GHS Senior Chaz Oberkfell won the IHSA 1A Sectional last Saturday and has advanced to the State Meet on Saturday. Chaz is the defending state champion and is poised to defend his title in Peoria. Congrats and Good Luck Chaz!

Madison Durston, a sophomore golfer, qualified to advance to the IHSA Sectional Golf match in Jacksonville on Monday. Congrats to Madison and GOOD LUCK!

GMS Softball and Baseball Ends Seasons!

Both the GMS Indians and Lady Indians finished their seasons last Saturday in IESA Regional Play. The GMS Indians Baseball team lost to Staunton by a score of 4-10 in the IESA Regional Semifinals at North Mac. The Indians finished with an overall record of 8-5-1 and finished third in 2M Conference play with a 3-2 record.The GMS Lady Indians Softball team lost to Staunton by a score of 2-6 in the IESA Regional Championship. They finished the season with a 14-5 record and a second-place finish in 2M Conference play with a 4-1 record. They also finished second in the annual GMS Softball Tournament at the beginning of the season.

OBERKFELL is STATE CHAMP!!

Chaz Oberkfell won the IHSA 1A State Cross Country Championship on Saturday in Peoria. He ran a blistering 14:31.87 on the three mile course. He is the first cross country champ in school and conference history.
