John Schmidt and the Schmidt Family
John Schmidt and the Schmidt Family have been a major contributor and donor to the Gillespie Community School District in both academics and athletics in many endeavors.
In memory of their parents, William E. and Florance Schmidt, the William E. Schmidt Charitable Foundation and the Lon D. Barton Charitable Foundation helped fund the Schmidt Community Sports Complex.
