Lisa Roberts

Lisa (Ribes) Roberts, a 1996 graduate of Gillespie High School, made her presence known on the track while at GHS.  During high school, Roberts participated in track for four years, basketball for one year, soccer for two years, and was instrumental in helping create the cross-country team which she was on for one year.  She stills holds the 1600-meter and 3200-meter track records at GHS.  After graduating from GHS, Lisa went on to SIUE where she ran cross country and track for all four years.  Roberts is now a professional triathlete and has competed in over 100 triathlons around the world.  She is a 6-time Iron Man Champion and holds multiple Iron Man course records.
